Crib Bumpers
Bumper pads should be attached securely to all sides of the crib with at least six straps; excessive length of straps should be cut off; it must fit snugly into all four corners; should have no gaps between the bumper pads and the crib sides; must never be used to off set improper spacing between slats; should be removed when child is able to kneel and move around the crib.

The use of a crib bumper is not recommended. However, if you are using a bumper always be sure that the strings used to attach the bumper are no longer then six inches long.
