Highchairs and Booster Seats
Always restrain a child when he/she is placed in a highchair of booster seat. A child can climb out of or slide through a highchair when improperly restrained. An estimated 7,590 children under age 5 were treated for highchair related injuries in hospital emergency rooms in 2002.
Reasons for highchair and booster recall include: restraint bar failure; leg strap and seat belt failure and plastic joint collapse. To find out if a highchair or booster seat you are using has been recalled please visit www.recalls.gov.
