Crib Sheets/Soft Bedding
Tummy sleeping and soft, fluffy or loose bedding can cause a dangerous buildup of carbon dioxide (exhaled air) around a sleeping baby’s head and face. Experts feel that this “rebreathing” of exhaled air is a serious risk factor for SIDS.

Always use a crib sheet that is made specifically for the crib mattress. Be sure the sheet fits securely in all corners and sides. Check carefully for shrinkage after each wash. A child can pull poorly fitted sheets loose and become entrapped.

Remember never use a bed sheet on a crib mattress.
