Baby Strollers
Falls remain the most common stroller related injury, almost 90 percent of the falls resulted in head injuries. CPSC records about two deaths each year from stroller-related incidents. However, many deaths occur when children are left unattended to sleep in strollers reclined to the "carriage" position.

A child may slip feet first through a leg opening until the their head becomes entrapped between the seat and restraint bar, causing strangulation or suffocation.

It is important to remember to never leave a child unattended in a stroller, infants only a few weeks old can move when asleep. Also, when using a stroller always be sure to properly restrain the child. Recalls have been issued for several baby gates. For more information regarding recalled baby gates visit www.recalls.gov.
